Let's meet inside the Park near 6th & Quince. You'll have to take 6th Ave either north or south depending on which area you are coming from and enter the park via Upas. Follow Upas down to just past Quince and we'll be on the left (where we gathered for the last flag football game). Bring your blankets, an afternoon snack and drink, your Bibles (if you care to) and anything else you desire to share. The idea behind this is to come together, share your story(ies), download your frustrations (vent or get things off your chest), provide support to each other and just be together in loving harmony with each other without judgments, opinions or criticisms. We have many Christians, however, we want to honor all faiths and religions (no one will be left out). Many of us know that prayer in numbers is powerful, so if you are in the need of this type of meet-up, please come join us. We'll start out by sharing stories/venting frustrations, etc, providing feedback, support and/or advice. Then we might share anything from an inspirational story, poem, quote, etc. Then we'll come together, hold each other's hands (if comfortable with that), and say our individual silent prayers to your spiritual higher power. The intention here is to create a loving environment for all to experience and provide a highly supportive group of lesbian gals with powerful loving energy. Co-existing, at its best for the greater good of all humankind. We might have one person (volunteer to) say a final prayer for the greater good of the entire group. We ask that you not judge the prayer as each prayer is individual and personal to their own faith/religion. The prayers will ALWAYS be for the greater good and that is what matters. If you agree in the greater good of all humankind and creating change in a world where change is desperately needed, then this is for you. Hope to see many of you out there joining us. If there are any healers or prayer warriors out there, we need you.

Join us for an afternoon of fun at Petco Park watching a Padres Pride Game. Spend the afternoon hanging out with our 'family'. If you'd like, meet us at Jolt'N Joe's Sports Grill and Billiard Gallery between 11-11:30am for some pre-game fun. However, be sure you are in front of the Will Call Office no later than 12:30pm to get your ticket from me. Those who have already paid, I will purchase the tickets for you. Those who haven't paid and still would like to attend, you are welcome to follow the directions below to purchase the tickets on your own. Click on the website link below: http://sandiego.padr es.mlb.com/sd/ticket ing/groups/pride.jsp Click on 'Buy Tickets Now' and enter the promo code: pride Casey, the group salesman for the padres pride game said there is a $1 fee added to your ticket price using their website. Going with the group would have avoided that, but it's a bit too late.

This is a tentative meetup. Please RSVP now if you are seriously intersted. Brief description: Part running - part trivia quiz - part skill challenges - 2 person teams - solve clues to find checkpoints - take team photos at checkpoints - use public transportation - call friends to help solve clues. The race where smarts can beat speed. This is like a one-day Amazing Race (the reality show) with the exception they don't dare you to eat weird stuff. What to bring: - you and your one teammate - cell phone - digital camera (or cell phone with camera capability) - maps of downtown - pen/pencil and pad to take notes You should have a friend on standby at home to call to search internet/help with clues. Your feet and public transportation are your only modes of travel. $30 per team. See website above for further details/additional information. Also, be advised that the Rock 'N' Roll Health & Fitness Expo will be taking place at the Convention Center. So plan ahead for parking since I am unsure where they will begin this event.

Join us at Wyland Center Hall in Del Mar at the fairgrounds for the Derby Dolls tournament. The plan is to buy VIP bleacher seating, but no promises. Doors open at 6pm, but the bout doesn't start until 7pm. Arrange now to leave work early this day. Children are welcome to join us too. Plan on a lot of fun. Unfortunately there is no open skating after the tournament. http://www.derbydoll s.com/sd Unfortunately we didn't have enough people to fill the limo bus and I forgot to set an RSVP and payment cutoff date. On top of that, we wouldn't be in the limo bus for even half the time that we have to pay for it. Having said that, it is not cost effective for us at this time. I have only received two payments thus far and more than likely won't have enough time to get everyone's money in time to pay for limo services. I apologize for the inconvenience, but I promise to make this up to you all in a different way (see next paragraph). For the two who have paid already, I will bring refunds if you choose to still go to the Derby Dolls event with us. Otherwise, I will reimburse via paypal. For those who haven't paid and would still like to attend using your own transportation, please get your payment to me ASAP and update your RSVP to reflect your current choice. We can still make this a very fun event and perhaps even end the party at Bourbon Street afterwards. If you are up for that, state so in your RSVP. If anyone wants to carpool up there, please say so in your RSVP. In the very near future, we will plan a limo bus again since it IS so popular. However, it will more than likely be a Temecula Winery Tour rather than a Derby Dolls event. Thanks for your understanding gals...

This will be our third annual event with AIDS Dine Out. But it will be the best yet. However, only 12 people can join us. Come enjoy a nice dinner and see 25% of the proceeds to go the AIDS Foundation. If all goes well, we will be at Dish Restaurant at the big round table in the back. Right now, this restaurant is not on the participating list. But I called them and they said there is no doubt they will be added to it soon as they did participate last year. There's still time for planning. However, until the reservation is set in stone, it remains tentative. Please don't pay yet, unless you don't mind your money sitting in my paypal account as the cost will be dictated by the restaurant that is chosen. However, there is a set price for this event to make things simple and you may order anything you wish from the menu (one alcoholic beverage is included). The price will be $20 for Dish, Gulf Coast Grill or Inn at the Park. The price for DiMille's will be $15. On another note, the sooner you pay, the sooner you guarantee your reservation. It's completely up to you. Last year, we had some "no-shows" . With that being said, refunds will only be provided on a case-by-case basis. Dish is a very nice restaurant and we want to fill the seats, especially since it is a fund-raiser. Please don't take a seat if there's a chance you may not be able to make it. If we don't get Dish, then your choices are: DiMille's Italian Restaurant Gulf Coast Grill Inn at the Park Please vote for your second choice in your RSVP in the event we don't get Dish.

This is very tentative because I wanted to see the amount of participation. So far we have 6 gals interested. That's more than halfway and only 4 more to go. And since Bistro d' Asia recently closed without my knowledge....how dare they?...I thought we'd try this cute little french restaurant right on Adams Ave in University Heights called Farm House Cafe. I have to see if I can make a reservation for 10 first before we commit to this wonderful little gem. But you have to check out their website because they have a gallery which displays the dishes they make and explains them as well. You have to read fast though, but you'll want to focus on the pictures because it will truly make your mouth water. http://www.farmhouse cafesd.com/ Play synopsis: A mormon couple confronts the limits of their spiritual teachings upon the suicide of their gay son.

OK gals...I had to change the date and I apologize for that. I also understand this is the end of the season and the last day to experience the whales, but I guarantee you a trip that will be fulfilling in whale sightings. We will see more whales than you can count. Again, I have to make this tentative because of reservation reasons. These tickets have not been purchased yet. However, we are penciled in for 15 gals. That's an increase from the original 10. And I do believe we'll be able to coax the guy into letting us bring 5 more just before the trip. I have set a deadline for RSVP and payment for the day prior to the trip. So please only RSVP if you are serious about attending. - A rare opportunity: join us and sail in the luxury of the historic yacht 'America' during the peak of the Pacific Oceans Whale migration. - A thrilling educational sailing experience. - This is no ordinary 'whale watching' experience. - It is presented with an educational and historical perspective. - It is engaged on an ecological and exhilerating platform. - The "America's Cup" is named after the magnificent 139 Ft yacht and a sail upon her is a "once in a lifetime" thrill. Your ticket includes: A whale watching voyage on the yacht America, light snacks, soft beverages, water, and ice. (Feel free to bring your own picnic lunch, additional beverages, etc. - no coolers please), entrance to the Maritime Museum of San Diego, a whale watching narration and a bit of history on America and the America's Cup. Things to bring: - jacket and/or warm weather clothing (keep in mind of weather and wind) - binoculars - camera - picnic items (again, no coolers) - non-drowsy dramamine (take this before you board, it will save from motion sickness) The folks on the beautiful yacht “America” are so confident that you will not get seasick that they will provide a $40 gift certificate at San Diego’s famous “Fish Market” restaurant if your day is spoiled by motion sickness. Most whale watching vessels are motorboats that not only have a lot more diesel fumes than a sailboat, but because of their hull shape are more inclined to roll a lot more on the ocean than a sailboat with a large balancing keel deep below the surface. As such the 11 Ft deep keel on the 139 Ft. “America” effectively eliminates 90% of the motion….and guarantees you a great day. Boarding begins at 9:30AM and the sail is from 10AM-2PM.
