I had a great time, especially seeing others' story ideas.

I enjoyed reading and learning about the other members' books and works in progress. This is a very talented and enthusiastic group! I appreciated comments on my "Sparkles" book and suggestions on my new book idea for my "Sparkles" series. Is was was my first meeting with a writers' group.
Got some new views on my story and had a good time.

Hi All, I am not feeling very well today so I won't be able to make it tonight - I am very sorry to miss the meeting, but I will see you next month! Have a Good Meeting! Karen
Hope you feel better, Karen!
I am looking forward to meeting fellow writers in SE Wisconsin.
I would be pleased to host the meeting at my office in downtown Racine: 403 6th Street, for as long as I own the building. Let me know if there is interest. It'd be a space all to ourselves, and everyone's welcome to bring dinner, or we could order in.

Jonathan, I really appreciate you offering up your space. However, a trip to downtown Racine doubles my drive time. I don't know what to think about that at the moment. Just thought I might let you know.
For the "regular" meetup, I think we're better off somewhere that can stay consistent long-term, and I think for some members being right off I94 is convenient.
(part two :-)) The new paragraph idea I guess doesn't work in comments... what I wanted to close with is Thank you, Jonathan for offering up the space - maybe we can use it for an additional meetup during the month. Something like getting together and working off of writing prompts "on the fly" and seeing what we cone up with... or having us say what our writing styles and inspirations are, or ?? (just some ideas off the top of my head). If that sounds interesting to anyone, let us know and we can go from there. Thanks!
I haven't yet been able to make one of these meetings. I live in Milwaukee. The I94 culvers works best for those of us who are farther away.
Alright. I defer to the concensus. See you next month.

Had a problem with timing for last one. Shouldn't have problem this time. See you there.
Welcome fellow writers (or aspiring writers). Whether you are just starting out, coming back to writing after years away, or an accomplished writer this group is for you.
We meet the 1st Monday of the month at the Culver's off of I-94 on Hwy 20 in Sturtevant, WI. to discuss ideas, critique work, and encourage one another.
Just as with writing, this group is a work in progress and will undergo revisions as needed.
We know that you all are busy but to keep our membership current we ask that you check the site once every 6 months. Actual attendance is not required.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
