Hi everyone. Relatives showed up at the last minute so I will not be able to attend. Have a fantastic meetup!

I have a couple obligations today and am super bummed, but I will be there next time!

We were talking about possible topics for this meetup on IRC. Seems like it might be a good idea to have 2 breakout groups, space allowing: one for category theory type stuff and the other for some practical Haskell programming discussion. Some folks mentioned topics like getting a sane development environment set up or perhaps a more specific project to pair on.

This sounds like a great idea. I'll make room in a second office for this. Did you all discuss this on #haskell? I should really jump on there more often :P.

Yep, we discussed it on #haskell. Much to my surprise there were 4 SEAHUG attendees in there last night, myself included.

Curry/uncurry as adjoint functors? Cartesian closed categories anyone?

Having written my first working program/script, maybe I've caught "the bug", on my way to being a Haskell addict. My latest answer to myself about "Why Haskell?" is "for referential transparency, which makes refactoring easy."

Here are some really excellent Haskell walkthroughs I just found.
