Please join us on February 17th as we kick off 2009 with SEMPO NY's Super SEO Session, graciously hosted by MRM Worldwide. To ensure entry, RSVP here by February 13 at noon. Here is the general flow:
- 6:30 Mix and mingle over drinks and eats
- 7:00 SEO Sherpa Session. State Of The Art & Science for Novices. Presented by Chris Hart of Bruce Clay & Followed by a few words from the SEMPO Institute for those who want to learn how to increase career opportunities.
- 7:30 SEO Ninja Fishbowl Panel featuring Barry Schwartz of RustyBrick Inc. and SearchEngineLand fame, Chris Williams of GSI and Chris Hart of Bruce Clay. This advanced panel will have one open seat so that any member of the audience can, at any time, occupy this empty chair and join the fishbowl conversation.
- 8:00 More mixing, more mingling
As always, you must RSVP on the meetup site, as well as provide ID to enter the building.

Tim McGuinnessThe intro course was OK. The panel was a good addition. A group like SEMPO should make an official stand against blackhat or craphat tactics. I didn't like that Chris blamed the victim. The organization should state that there is no place for this activity and these people will not be allowed. It may sound obvious, but it should be formalized.

David GusickVery good event. The discussion was both insightful and practical at the same time. The panel touched on many of the most current issues affecting Search Engine Marketing. I thought it was very smart to have break out sessions for the novices (grasshoppers)
and experts (ninjas). I am really looking forward to the next session.
