REQUEST TO JOIN: In order for you to be accepted as a member of this club, you must provide the following:
PROFILE PHOTO REQUIREMENT: Submit a current portrait close-up (or "selfie") photo (facing the camera) on your profile-window. Should you have an existing photo that is NOT a current portrait photo of yourself, Seniors-In-Motion Organizer shall "Decline" your "Request To Join" submission.
This Profile-Photo must not misrepresent your current image. The purpose is to introduce YOU to the members of this club, and help the Organizer recognize you, at an event. In addition, this same photo may help emergency services (CHP, Fire Department, Sheriff, etc.)
To change your default photo: Upload a face-portrait photo to your Meetup profile through your 'General' Account page: http://www.meetup.com/account/
To change your profile photo on Seniors-In-Motion website, head to the Seniors-In-Motion home page, scroll to the words 'My profile' in the top navigation bar. From there, select 'View profile' where you'll find the option to 'Change YOUR photo'. Click to upload a new photo or choose from an existing face-photo that meets the requirements of Seniors-In-Motion. Photos uploaded must be in JPEG, PNG, or GIF format and under 10 MB.
UNACCEPTABLE-PHOTOS: Non-photo, black/white-photo, silhouette-photo, profile (one-side of face), face/body facing away from camera, distant-photo (too small to see YOU), topic-photos (artwork, caricatures, cartoons, animals, birds, marine-life, landscapes, skyscapes, waterscapes, family-members (babies, children, teens, young-adults, adults), friends, car-truck-other vehicle type-photos, icons, clipart, etc.) are all unacceptable. Receipt of anyone of the mentioned "Unacceptable-Photos" listed in this paragraph shall jeopardize your acceptance to this group, if submitted.
NAMETAGS: Nametags invite members to "approach and converse" with one another. When you "Request to Join" this meetup-group, yourfirst-name and last-name-initial are required, plus a listing of your three-favorite-interests. This information is placed on member's personal Nametag-card. When member arrives to an event, the "Organizer" distributes preprinted nametags to each member and said-guest(s); each event-attendee is required to wear personalized nametag. At the end of each event, just prior to leaving, nametag(s) is/are to be returned to the "Organizer" (recycling reduces costs). Nametag-data is maintained in a database.
PROFILE QUESTIONNAIRE must be completely answered.
SENIORS-IN-MOTION PROMOTIONAL PHOTOS: When attending an event, photos are often taken of participating-members during the S.I.M. activity. Some photos may be used for Seniors-In-Motion promotional advertising on its website and, on the "Find A Meetup Group" Main Category Directory, and on "Find A Meetup Group" topic directories. The Organizer will approach participating-members, during the scheduled-events, to request verbal permission to use photos for said-referenced website-directories.

MEMBERS: Members are required to attend at "least" one activity, or more, every six-months, starting with the month member initially joined the club. Example: (Jul 2014 - Dec 2014; Jan 2015 - Jun 2015).
When member plans to attend a scheduled activity, click on the specific event(s), then click the green-box "RSVP-Yes" (meaning: I'm Attending).
Minimal Attendance Policy: 2-club-members (or) 1-club-member and Guest...for a calendared "meetup" activity to occur. Preferably three RSVP-YES members (1-Organizer/2-Members). If attendance is below expectation, decision is based upon Primary Organizer, to continue or cancel the calendared "meetup" activity.
When an activity reservation prepayment is expected to be paid in advance, please notify Seniors-In-Motion Organizer (via e-mail or activity comment box) that your admission fee is paid in full. This allows the Organizer to be aware of which RSVP-Yes member(s) is/are definitely attending.
When activity occurs, it is the Member's responsibility to pay for his/her own admission fee and additional costs. Members are, also, responsible for their said-guest(s) fees/costs.
It is vital the member(s) contact the Organizer, upon arrival to a scheduled activity; otherwise see referenced penalties, below.
GUESTS: Up to three-guests per member per scheduled event, unless otherwise noted. Member is responsible for informing the Organizer of how many guests will be attending and the names of their guest(s). Guests are responsible for their own fees/costs; should member's guest(s) come unprepared for payment; the responsibility then falls on the Member who invited the guest(s).
ETIQUETTE: Be considerate of your Organizer's time.
EVENT-RSVP POLICY (RSVP-YES to RSVP-NO): If member decides to change RSVP status, it is extremely important to return to the Seniors-In-Motion website:
Select the activity you previously signed-up to attend, go to the "RSVP-Yes" green box (right-margin) and click the box Then click "change", then select "RSVP-No" (meaning: I'm Not Attending). This simple-action will help you remain a member of this meetup group for a longer term.
CAUSE OF MEMBERSHIP CANCELLATIONS:
1) UNDELIVERABLE E-MAILS & NOTIFICATIONS: At the start of initial request to join Seniors-In-Motion and throughout existing membership, each applicant/member is required to have an open line of e-mail communication with the Seniors-In-Motion Organizer. (Example: Should Organizer send an e-mail to applicant/member requesting information, and applicant/member does not reciprocate an informative response to S.I.M. Organizer within a week's time of initial e-mail, then applicant/member shall be "removed" from Seniors-In-Motion meetup group-club).
2) INACTIVE / NON-ATTENDANCE MEMBERS:
a) If member has not attended a single event within the first six-month-term of initial membership date, the member shall be "removed" from this meetup group.
b) If member participated the first six-month term, but did not attend meetup(s) during upcoming six-month term(s)...the member shall be "removed" from this meetup group.
c) No-Show: If member did not notify Organizer of cancellation, prior to the event occuring, a "No-Show" status is recorded on member's record. Three "No-Shows" means member shall be "removed" from Seniors-In-Motion meetup group.
d) Removed Member: When Seniors-In-Motion member becomes a "removed member", the Organizer informs member of his/her attendance record ; and "may" invite the member to return for a second-six-month trial term, depending on attendance record.
e) Rejoin/Rejoiner: Should the "former member" agree to accept another membership term, the "Rejoiner" also agrees to attend scheduled RSVP activities within the new six-month term trial timeframe. If Rejoiner-member still does not participate, see "Permanent Removal Penalty".
f) Permanent Removal Penalty occurs when Rejoiner-member has not participated in any of the scheduled RSVP activities throughout his/her membership term(s).
In addition, meetup headquarters may send member(s) an email notification stating member has been "automically removed" from meetup and Seniors-In-Motion, due to member not visiting meetup (inactivity) and member has detered email communications for six consecutive months. See website:
a) Should member decide not to attend, and does not change RSVP-YES status to RSVP-NO status, member shall receive a "No Show" status.
b) If member cancels "Last-minute and/or "Same-Day" of event, member shall receive a "No-Show" penalty.
c) Should a member check-in with Organizer at an activity, then leaves the Seniors-In-Motion meetup-group to join other acquaintenances/ friends/family outside of this meetup-group, the member shall be considered a "last-minute cancellation", and therefore a "No Show" status shall be recorded on the member's attendance record.
d) If event is located within a high-traffic area, where street parking is the only parking method, Organizer and/or attending members shall wait for latecombers up to 15 minutes after scheduled arival time, If member still does not arrive at meetup location, a "No Show" penalty shall be recorded.
RATIFICATION POLICY for NO-SHOW ATTENDANCE :

If an emergency arises and a S.I.M. member is absent from a prescheduled activity, the member is required to provide a written explanation, via email, after the crisis, to the Organizer-in-charge to prove cause of absence; otherwise, the member shall be penalized as a "No Show" status.
4) MEMBERSHIP BANNING:
a) Improper behavior and/or offensive communication (verbal and/or electronic means) are grounds for an individual member to be banned.
b) If any type of crime occurs, to intentionally harm any member of this meetup group, including Organizer(s) and Event Host(s), The Primary-Organizer shall investigate the incident and/or check public-records; should facts point to a "probable" wrong-doer, the Primary Organizer shall "permanently" ban the existing member from Seniors-In-Motion meetup club.
c) Should weapons and/or illegal-drugs of any kind be discovered in member's possession (person/vehicle/on-site), while participating in a Meetup Seniors-In-Motion social gathering, that specific member shall be banned from this meetup-club permanently.
