Is it possible that the San Fernando Valley can have upscale food that rivals the Westside? Raphael in Studio City probably gives the Valley a fighting chance.
Raphael is a chic, sophisticated friendly neighborhood restaurant with a great wine list and a good variety of 'wine-by-the-glass' selection. The menu is new American and highlights include the watermelon and feta salad, mussels in saffron cream sauce with the best thick, crunchy fries. The food is perfectly prepared, and the service is great.

Please bring CASH to make bill settlement easier. PLEASE RSVP ONLY IF YOU ARE AVAILABLE AND PLAN ON ATTENDING. No shows are not cool for those that want to attend and can't. WARNING: If you have been a frequent no-show (and you know who you are) and you RSVP "Yes", I will email you to confirm your attendance within a certain time frame or you will automatically be changed to "Wait List" with no further discussion. I am trying to avoid implementing a strict deposit policy for upscale restaurant events.
Look forward to seeing you there!
