Spring migration is at its peak, and warblers, flycatchers, vireos, tanagers, and other neotropical migrating birds are arriving at the park in large numbers, either to breed here, or continue their journey to breeding grounds farther north! Join park naturalist and avid birder Rob Bergstresser on a leisurely 1-mile bird identification walk around the Day Use Area, in search of these magnificent migrators. All ages and experience levels are invited. Participants are encouraged to bring their own binoculars, but a limited number of binoculars will be available for use.
We will be meeting at the Environmental Interpretive Center (EIC) for this program.
Registration is REQUIRED, as group size is limited. Please register each individual attending, separately. Please register through the DCNR Calendar of Events website, NOT on Meetup. You can register by clicking on the following link:

Native Species Day is Thursday, May 16th. Join Friends of Beltzville volunteer and Master Gardener Diane Giffels for Native Species Day at Beltzville State Park. To celebrate, we will have a special presentation titled, "How to Renature Your Yard", at the Environmental Interpretive Center (EIC) from 1:00pm-2:00pm. Gardeners and non-gardeners can learn how to improve or reintroduce nature on their property. Following this presentation, we will tour the park's Pollinator Garden and Conservation Project.
