OK, Bay Area 80s music fans- Now that the holidays are behind us, I'm very excited to announce the first San Francisco 80s Music MeetUp event of 2009 and the first organized by me as the new group moderator!
Missing Persons will be performing live in concert at the Red Devil Lounge at 1695 Polk St. in San Francisco on Thursday, January 29, so I hope you can make it out for a great night of classic 80s New Wave! My name is Steve, so please introduce yourself if you make it to the show.
"Walking in LA," "Windows," "Destination Unknown," "Words," "Noticeable One," "Mental Hopscotch," "It Ain't None of Your Business"- you know the songs, so come on out for what promises to be a night of great 80s music.
Doors open at 8:00 PM and there's one opener, a band called OB/GYN. Missing Persons will probably hit the stage some time after 9:30. Tix are $20 and can be purchased through the Red Devil website or via Ticketweb.
Parking can be a little tight around the Red Devil, but there's a lot of turnover and tons of taxis in the area. There's also plenty of MUNI lines running nearby, including the 1, 2, 3, 4, 12, 27, 47, and 49.
