Event Description: Golden Gate Yacht Club Singles Dance/Mixer
SATURDAY, February 2, 2008
Come and enjoy a great dance party and mixer for singles at the beautiful Golden Gate Yacht Club by the Bay in San Francisco with plenty of free parking.
For this party, we are teaming up with Professionals Guild and Your Asian Connection, so expect a huge crowd of about 200 to 300 singles!
Salsa Dance Lesson
There will be an optional salsa dance lesson for beginners, no experience required. Experienced salsa dances can still learn something, too, toward the end of the lesson, when a more advanced salsa move will be introduced. Phil will be teaching the lesson; he has taught salsa for more than 10 years!
Find Your Match Mixer Game
The evening starts with a fun "Find Your Match Mixer Game." You'll be given a card that is cut in half. A person of the opposite sex will have the other half.
You are free to mingle as you like - you can either feverishly work the room or simply stand back and let people come to you!
What happens when you find a match?
Once you find a match , you both go to an exhibitor's table present the matching halves of your cards. You will then get a new card half, and also a raffle ticket (or prize.) You are then free to continue meeting new people or chat with your match. The more matches you make, the more raffle tickets you will get.
How many people attend?
Although we can't guarantee exact numbers, Professionals Guild events typically attract 200 to 500 people at regular parties and more than 1000 people on New Years. A recent party in San Ramon had about 350. We expect beween 200 and 300 at the Golden Gate Yacht Club event.
What happens after the mixer game?
The mixer is only the icebreaker. You are welcome to mingle, flirt, and dance the night away at this beautiful location by the Bay.
