San Francisco artist David Barnett explores a variety of themes in his work. From landscapes and figures to portraits and pets, his approach is notable for his use of vibrant colors and ability to capture the 'essence' of his subject. About his approach to painting David shares, "I express the passion I find in my subjects with color and texture and render shade and shadow to emphasize light. I think of shapes as topography, no matter what the subject is." The exhibit will feature a combination of work. In the Mezzanine Gallery at Hotel Triton, easily accessible from the lobby's main stairs, on display will be a collection of David's San Francisco landscapes executed in oil pastels. The Living Room, located in the lobby, will feature a sampling of pet portraiture.
