Dark Passage (1947) (plus trivia!): That face looks familiar...

NOTE: Dinner location will be Cafe Epi (click for info). We will need to limit the number of diners to twelve (12), including the Organizers. Order and pay at the counter. Please note "dinner" in the Comments section, so we can get a head count.

The Stanford Theatre does not accept credit cards, so come prepared with $7 cash for your ticket.

And now, on with the show!

Dark Passage (1947) Starts: 3:40 PM, Ends: ~5:30 PM

Starring: Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, Agnes Moorehead
Director: Delmer Daves
Plot: An innocent man escapes from San Quentin seeking his wife's real killer. But on his way into the City, he's picked up by... Lauren Bacall! (Some guys have all the luck...) To disguise his identity, he has some back room plastic surgery, and comes out looking like... Humphrey Bogart! Oo... good choice... A very imaginative thriller from the underrated Delmer Daves. (Not often one gets to use the word: "Defenestrate...")

Join us for dinner after the show, and we'll have some trivia fun...

I haven't decided yet about dinner. I may want to stay for The Blue Dahlia, which I've never seen.

    October 10, 2013

    • Russ

Blue Dahlia is a good movie. Worth seeing if you haven't seen it before. Not as stylish or polished as some of the more familiar classics, but Ladd and Lake make a great couple.
