And now, on with the show!
The Palm Beach Story (1943) Starts: 7:30 PM, Ends: ~9:00 PM
Starring: Joel McCrea, Claudette Colbert, Rudy Vallee
Director: Preston Sturges
Plot: A struggling couple comes up with a great plan to advance his career -- or at least, she does: She'll take the train to Florida, divorce him, and marry a gullible millionaire. With the money from her sham marriage, she'll help finance her true love's ambition of creating airports suspended on nets hung over large cities! Needless to say, things don't go completely according to plan… A classic, Preston Sturges, marital farce.
