Attention Meetup Group:
Do you walk trails, go hiking, swimming at the lake? Does your dog get to go with you? Do you know what your dog would do or how they would react if they saw a rattlesnake on the trail?
Take this opportunity to have your dog trained to AVOID a rattlesnake and lower the risk of them getting bit.
Hangtown Kennel Club of Placerville is sponsoring a Rattlesnake Avoidance Training session - May 4 & 5 and again June 29 & 30. Pre-registration is required and the deadlines to register are April 24th for the May classes and June 22nd for the June classes. The cost is $70 PER DOG. Each dog goes through a field course with live rattlesnakes and is personally trained by Tracy Presson of High on Kennels. The snakes have a protective head shield so they
cannot bite your dog.
Medical care for a rattlesnake bite can be $5,000 - $7,000 and there is no guarantee the dog will make it. I know personally two dogs that did NOT survive the bite.
Your appointment will cover about 30 minutes - so you can plan a fun day in the foothills before or after your session.

To register please contact Cathy Keeler directly at[masked] between 6pm and 10pm.
