Off-Leash Privileges

Dear fellow dog lovers,

Please take 10 minutes to complete this 2011 Master Plan Survey for the East
Bay Regional Park District, if you use the park system here in the East Bay .
Part of the survey includes questions about
whether to continue to allow dog owners to hike with their dogs off-leash in
the parks. This is a wonderful privilege for dog owners and dog lovers, and
EBRPD is the only place
where doggies can get out and legally hike
off-leash in the whole Bay Area. You
won't get to the dog questions until question 29 but you do need to answer the
whole survey for it to "count".

Apparently some trail users would like to limit or eliminate this privilege.
We, as responsible dog owners, need to respond with a STRONG voice. Completing
this survey and responding to the questions about dogs hiking off-leash in a
way that keeps this privilege intact is one way to do that.

PLEASE, every voice counts! Help us to preserve off-leash recreation!
