Join us for the presentation with Stephen Johnson "A Landscape Photographer in the Digital Age." Canon named Steve as one of their Explorers of Light in 2006 and sponsors speaking engagements with him around the country.

A Landscape Photographer in the Digital Age with Stephen Johnson

Spend this program with digital photography pioneer Stephen Johnson exploring landscape photography with the power of the new tools of the digital age. Emphasis will be on our newfound freedom to capture what we see, rather than what we can do to a photograph later. Traditional aesthetics blended with innovative techniques and deep digital experience will be the perspective from which Johnson will lecture. This lecture will be jam-packed with information and inspiration. Primary emphasis will be on empowering participants to get past technological hurdles and pursue their vision.

I missed the talk because of a long commute. Is it possible to invite him back sometime?

I was there but wondered if he might like to come back and talk about some things he didn't have time for, or anything else! :)

It looks like we have many requests for additional presentation. Not sure he'll agree, but I'll try to talk to Stephen.

Thanks Sam! I was impressed enough I'd be willing to pay something if that made it more appealing to him.

Check out his workshops. I've taken many and every time I have, I've gained a lot of valuable knowledge.

Too followup with some other comments, I have heard this talk twice this year (here and at the PSA conference). It is a good talk and I did learn more the second time around. It was worthwhile to hear it again. Now to go practice processing in a gray shirt.

I really enjoyed his "down to earth' explanations and all the knowledge that he "happily" share with us.

Fantastic! I really appreciated the depth of his knowledge about Photography. I learned a lot of things I'd heard nowhere else before - some quite important! I very much appreciated that he didn't give the usual photog. basics and instead shared generously from his decades of experience. Also loved his dynamic passion for photography and the planet. I'm not drawn to do workshops w/ a lot of presenters but would like to participate in some of his.

Loved the presentation. Thank you Stephen. For those of you that are interested in gaining some exposure with your work. I just recently found this online gallery; photopatron.com that is an online community of Bay Area photographers. Thought you guys might be interested. See you at an event soon.

Excellent presentation by Stephen! He is a very engaging speaker. I have rarely heard someone being so passionate about both photography, the subject being photographed (here landscapes), camera technology, image processing, historic development of photography, and last, but not least, captivating the audience. Many thanks to the speaker and the organizers for a great and inspiring evening!

Quite the master of the craft. Very inspiring. You can see how Stephen's heart has brought him to where he is today. Thoroughly enjoyed his talk. Will probably sign up for one of his workshops. Good job Stephen.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
