Khaled Hosseini at the JCCSF 6/24 at 7:00 pm

In Conversation with Judson True

The John & Marcia Goldman Foundation Lecture

Khaled Hosseini (The Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns) has made a career out of writing about his native Afghanistan revealing the beauty and agony of this little-known part of the world to millions of readers. In 2006 he was named a goodwill envoy to UNHCR, the United Nations Refugee Agency, and has been providing humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan through The Khaled Hosseini Foundation. His new novel, And the Mountains Echoed, crosses continents from Kabul to Paris to San Francisco, exploring how we love, how we take care of one another, and how the choices we make resonate through generations.

“Hosseini gives us a vivid and engaging story that reminds us how long his people have been struggling to triumph over the forces of violence – forces that continue to threaten them even today.”
– New York Times Book Review

“[Love] is the emotion – subterranean, powerful, beautiful, illicit, and infinitely patient – that suffuses the pages.”
– O, The Oprah Magazine

Standard: $40* | Members $35* | Students $15

*A copy of Khaled Hosseini’s new novel, And the Mountains Echoed, is included in Standard and Member ticket prices.

If I get out of work on time and make it there by 6:30, I'll stand at the entrance with a "MEETUP" sign.

Hi all, I will be working the event so I won't be able to organize a meeting before, but FYI the doors will open at 6:30 and the event will start at 7. We have a nice atrium and a cafe adjacent to it if anyone is interested in organizing a meeting before so you can sit together.

Hi Kaye, you can purchase your tickets online ina advance using the link above and pick up your ticket the night of the show at the Box Office. As of now we have plenty of tickets left. We recommend this to ensure that you will get a ticket and that it won't sell out. If it doesn't sell out, tickets will be available at the door. --Claire (I work at the JCCSF where the event is being held).

I'm excited about attending the Khaled Hosseini event. Do I pay at the door or how is that handled?
