For over 40 years, the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition (http://www.sfbike.org/) has been transforming San Francisco's streets and neighborhoods into more livable and safe places by promoting the bicycle for everyday transportation. Through our day-to-day advocacy, education, and working partnerships with government and community agencies, we are helping create safer streets and more livable communities for all San Franciscans.
We have a variety of way to get involved, from volunteering events throughout the year, to our monthly volunteer nights, to our amazing events, to hitting the streets to tell riders about the SF Bicycle Coalition's progress on improving bicycling conditions in SF San Francisco. You can view our most up-to-date list of volunteering opportunities here:http://www.sfbike.org/volunteer, and check out all of our upcoming events here: sfbike.org/chain
I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
