My dinner plans changed and I won't be able to make this one. The good news is I might have something of possible interest to show at the next meet up.

Is this only for developers that want to work on bitcoinj?

    February 11, 2014

    • Taariq L.

No. Kevin has done extensive work on bitcoinj so there may be opportunities to take what he has learned and port it to other implementations. BIP70 is huge and his work is preceding others yet to come. Should be really interesting.

The first part of the talk will be about the payment protocol, how it is being used today, and it can be extended in the future to support additional use-cases such as recurring payments. The 2nd part will be more bitcoinj/java specific, but hopefully it will still be useful.
