CrowdFlower & Mode Anaytics: Organize Your Data and Collaborate Effectively

CrowdFlower and Mode Analytics are building tools for data scientists to work more efficiently. Join us for an evening with Lukas Biewald, CEO of CrowdFlower and Benn Stancil and Josh Ferguson of Mode Analytics. Smooth your workflow and accomplish more with these tools.

CrowdFlower makes it easy for lots of humans to complete tiny tasks (like tagging a picture), which means you can fill in data sets or create them entirely. It’s better than Mechanical Turk.

Mode makes analysis collaborative by organizing data, code, and results in one simple package. With Mode, anyone working with data can discover - and build upon - existing projects. Get a sneak peak before they launch.

Special thanks to CrowdFlower, our generous sponsor for the evening, for providing food and beer. And thank you to our hosts Geekdom SF, our favorite co-working and event space.

About Mode Analytics

One of the greatest challenges in analysis is discovering and building upon other people’s work. Analysts unknowingly recreate projects their peers have completed all the time. At Mode, they are building tools that eliminate the costs of sharing and discovery to make analysts and data scientists more productive. // @ModeAnalytics

Josh Ferguson is a co-founder and CTO at Mode Analytics. He was previously Director of Data Services at Yammer and Microsoft.

Benn Stancil is a co-founder and Chief Analyst at Mode Analytics. He previously worked in analytics at Yammer, Microsoft, and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

I enjoyed all the presentations (CrowdFlower, and Mode). Just wanted to say thank you to the organizers for donating time to promote my data science book: "Practical Data Science with R." This book really gets into and helps with the procedural nitty-gritty of starting a data science/analytics project. Right now Manning is offering a 37% discount (see here for details: ).
