How To Use Twitter Series

Wednesday July 17, Part I - Getting Started - In this workshop we’ll go over the basics of using Twitter: How to set up an account and get followers, how to use hashtags, craft tweets and build real relationships with people online that can help you both personally and professionally offline. Please come to the workshop with either a Twitter account already set up, or an email you can use to do so.

Thursday July 18, Part II - Secrets of a Power User - Once you’ve mastered the basics, it’s time to really dive into how to harness the power of Twitter for your goals. In this workshop we’ll go over advanced strategies for using Twitter to build personal and professional relationships, including third-party apps and tools, determining the best Twitter voice for you, and tracking results. Please come to the workshop with a Twitter account already set up, and a basic knowledge of how to use the platform.

Instructor: Shari Ilsen is Senior Online Communications Manager at VolunteerMatch. VolunteerMatch has been using technology to connect good people and good causes since 1998.

    Hi Everyone, Part II is tonight, 6PM -5th floor Main Library (Computer Training Room). If you missed part I, you still have a chance at the last half of the workshop. Please open your Twitter account before you come as she won't be going over that in this class. Come early as it fills up fast. I hope you can make it!
