The next Meetup in January will be a presentation from Cumulus Networks. Cumulus Networks is doing very interesting work on Linux switches and on the separation of networking hardware from software.
This talk will be given by Noah Garrett Wallach, Principal Solutions Engineer at Cumulus Networks.
Noah's summary of the talk and his background follows:
This talk will discuss a variety of automation approaches for deploying Cumulus Linux powered network equipment. There are many advancements for minimizing problems and simplifying data center switch deployments from loading dock to production. I have a diverse background of network configuration automation by developing screen scraping scripts at Yahoo, and a tenure at Juniper, providing a view of the industry from the closed silo network vendor perspective.
