What technical topics would you like covered?

We intend to have a technical presentation at every meeting. Some will be only 10 minutes long, others will be up to an hour long, depending on the other activities planned for that meetup. What technical topics would you like discussed, and are you interested in presenting at topic?

Things I would like to hear more about:

  • Actors and multithreading
  • Functional programming
  • Combinators and monads
  • Higher-kinded functions
  • sbt
  • the parallel library

These are all good topics. I gave an introduction to sbt at the first meetup; the slides are here. Do you want a more in-depth treatment next, or to cover the other topics first?

At the meetup I called for speakers. To potential speakers: these are all topics of general interest. If you would like to pick one or more topics, please say so in reply to this thread.
