As of now we don't have a full screenplay set to read for September's first Screenplay meetup. Please feel free to volunteer if you have a project, or part of a project in progress, that you would like the group to review. I'll ask people at the meetup this evening as well.
As an alternative - something I've seen done in other screenwriting groups is to dedicate a meeting to reviewing a professional script, either recently produced, not yet produced but in the industry, such as a Black List script, or a classic screenplay, as an example to discuss for our own writing.
I've recently been sent the screenplay for "The Conjuring", which I have yet to read but is widely considered one of the most effective, well written and genuinely scary screenplays (and movies) in a good while. I'd be happy to post that one here for just such as discussion.
Otherwise, we can run next week as a standard scene reading meetup or reserve it for longer segments (20-30) pages. As always, I welcome your ideas and feedback.
