- NOTE DATE CHANGE: THIS MEETUP IS NOW ON SATURDAY APRIL 27 -
The Studio Gallery on Polk Street is having a show called "City Streets: Urban views of the Bay Area" in April and May. Let's visit it together and then grab some tables at the It's a Grind cafe across the street so we can talk about what we liked and try out some new ideas, sketching the city streets outside the cafe windows.
The #19 Polk bus line goes right by there and it's just a few blocks from the #1 California. The various buses on Van Ness Avenue are just one block east of Polk Street. The Hyde Street and California cable car lines are also nearby.
The gallery says that street parking is usually easy at meters (meters run for 2 hours). There are 3 pay parking lots on Sacramento Street between Polk and Van Ness, one on Jackson between Polk and Van Ness, as well as another one on Polk just across Broadway.
