Succulents are plants that store water so they can live in dry places. The Succulence store in Bernal Heights assembles them in terrariums and vertical plantings and they've got a big table at the back of the store where we can sit down to sketch these bizarre and beautiful plants up close. (No purchase necessary.) Read more about the store at www.thesucculence.com or see what people have done with them at www.facebook.com/succulence.
We can head over to the Progressive Grounds cafe next door for coffee or food afterwards.
Space is limited, so don't sign up unless you're pretty sure you can come. (If your plans change and you can't make it, please remember to change your RSVP on the meetup site.)
The 24 Divisadero bus goes right by there. You can also walk east up Cortland from any of the Mission Street buses, or walk a few blocks west from the 67 bus.
Bicycles have to get up a steep hill, but it's a short hill.
Parking is usually not too hard in this area.
