New Year's Eve w/ the gang...

Champagne Tasting, Food, Vino, Music, Dancing, Socialising, and White Elephant Gift Exchange!

This will be a blind Champagne Tasting.

No, you don't have to be blind to participate, just wear some cool sunglasses and move your head from side to side like Stevie Wonder.

The bottles will be bagged and numbered and we'll have note sheets w/ categories for rating the champagne.  At the end of the tasting (or sooner) we'll determine which bottle wins ( this will be determined numerically) - pls no questions yet!

If this isn't clear I'm sure it's just because I'm a rgarten dropout, and has nothing to do w/ the fact that you're just not grasping what I'm saying.

Just kidding.  Well not about my education, or lack thereof.  Ah, but I digress.  Don't worry about the details, as they will sort themselves, and once you've done this you'll love it.

What To Bring:

~Champagne ($10-$20 range) for the tasting.   Or vino ($10-$20 range) for general consumption.

~Gift for the exchange ($10-20 range)

~A really nice food dish (we're talking festive, exotic, ethnic - the works!)

Festive attire!  If you want to wear a suit, do it.  If you ladies want to put on a nice dress, go for it. Just don't want tee shirts and scruffy clothes.  Should I say, "Bow tie optional"?

How about a massive ballon drop and great  prizes?

I actually did not make it. Hope it went well, and will catch up with an event in the near future.

Sorry that I won't be able to make it after all. I am happy that Josephine was there waiting and ready to jump. Have a great time. Sounded like a blast.

I was one of the first people to sign up for this event, before you had a location. I don't understand why I'm on the waiting list?

Likely because you're signed up on another site.

Hi Chas. Looking forward to the party. Please bring my storage bowl and lid from the Angel Island hike last fall. See you soon,

I really hope this gets off the ground. I have a tiny place. I wish I knew someone with a big place who'd like to host the party so they don't have to drive on New Year's Eve. I hope someone steps up. Put the word out among your friends.

There were 18 people at last yr's Christmas party.
I expect around 25+/- for this one.
    Who is willing to host?
We won't be going to a pub for this one. No home, no party.

What's happening with the New year's Eve party. Do we have a place to meet? Are any plans being made? New Years is just a few weeks away? I'd rather go to a New Years Eve Party in someone's home rather then some bar with a bunch of strangers like the the one the singles group posted on this site. Please let us know what's happening with this event.

I am new to your group and have not met you yet. But i look forward to meeting your gang.

I already host the Free Exchange Meetup at my place in Park Merced, right by the San Francisco State bus and M-troley stops. I may be willing to host this event, but max attendance I can handle would be 20-25. And please, someone else handle balloons, kprizes, etc:-!

If your likely New Tear's Eve turnout is larger, I will likely need to pass.
