The Plan: We'll head West then North towards the Russian River where we'll stop for wine tasting at a winery that I thought had the 2nd best barrel tastings last Spring.
From there we'll head out Westside Rd for some incredible scenery, and have our lunch break next to the vineyards.
This will be a ride you'll definitely remember, as the vineyards will have plenty of color making this a beautiful time to see this region.
We will be riding though the area pictured above!
Later in the day we'll stop for tasting at a 2nd winery - both tastings will be free on this ride.
If you were on the last ride this one will be similar, though the rolling hills will be mellower and fewer. For the most part this ride is pretty flat. As always we wait for those who need more time on the hills, and you'll find the countryside and vineyards on this ride make the hills well worth it.
This will be 50 miles of non stop Sonoma County beauty!
What To Bring:
Snacks, water, and a lunch.
Wear: Sunscreen, layered clothing, your helmet.
I pack a few fruit bars, and a sandwich for lunch.
Fill your tires the day/eve before.
Have your bike tuned and in good shape.
Getting out for a couple nice rides before this one (on your own if necessary) would help.
A repair kit (optional, though always suggested). I'll have a pump.
As always, your sense of humour is required!
This ride is being posted on 4 other Meetup sites, though attendance will be limited to 15.
PLEASE NOTE: If you were not on the last ride, I'll need to receive an email letting me know what your riding experience and ability is - thx.
