  • This is the first organizational meeting for fielding a team for the Ragnar Relay. We can meet, have breakfast together, and begin to gel as a group. I can also provide further information about the event and answer questions. Please also bring a check for $123, so that I may register us as a team. We can also discuss how much (as well as when/where) we would like to train together from July through September. After the meeting/breakfast we can go for a run together in the park.

    Starts in Golden Gate Park and ends in Napa ... what could be better than that!

    The race is already 85% full so let's try to get a team together soon. 

    Not exactly sure on the race start time. With adjust it when I have more details. Please note that you will probably need to plan on running all day Friday and Saturday. We should also plan on running through the night.

    Someone in the other group suggested I just ask everyone to mail me their check so I can register us. I've just emailed everyone my address and some other instructions. Check your spam folder if you don't see it.

    Registration is 96% full. I'm concerned that we won't be able to register once we are finally sure we have a full team. Any suggestions? Anyone willing to take the financial risk to register the team before we're sure we have a team?

    I've edited this meet up to be the organizational meeting. I took the email approach, but did not get a good response rate.

    Once we have 12, I'll set up an informational meeting where everyone can bring a check. Once I have all the checks in, I will register the team if there's still space.

    Another thought is, you could mail me a check to hold your spot on the team, but I won't cash the check until I have all twelve checks and have registered the team.

    I am open to other suggestions as well.

    We still have three weeks to get a 12 person team together. I'm going to try to cross-post this to SF Trail Runners but in the meantime why don't we each go out and try to find a friend or two who would like to do this with us. Once you have a friend RSVP with +1.
