Software Freedom Day

Would like to ask if anyone would like to volunteer to help out on Software Freedom Day.

The local Palm Beach County Linux Users Group hosts an event for this international day every year. This year, our coordinator is moving, so we need all the help we can get. We still don't have a confirmed venue and we need people who'd like to volunteer to help out, spread the word and/or demonstrate Open Source software at the event.

If you would like to help, please contact Bill Hall and let him know. More details about the event and Bill's contact address are available at:

Software Freedom Day provides a good opportunity to network (bring your business cards) as well as a chance to obtain free Open Source software and to learn what's out there and how to use it. We also gave away books and computers last year and if there's enough interest, may do so again.

Please let other organizations and developers in the area who might be interested in helping organize this year know of the event. Also, please help us spread the word, so we can make Software Freedom Day a reality in Palm Beach County this year. Any and all help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

P.S.: If you have a Facebook account, you can also check the event listing or let people know you're attending on Facebook at:
