The Three Bears

This hilly route will begin at the Orinda BART station in the east parking (not the same side as the station). We'll ride out to El Sobrante and circumnavigate the San Pablo Reservoir, traveling over the hills known as the Three Bears on Bear Creek Rd. This loop is about 22 miles. Depending upon the ambitions of the group, we could keep riding with a possible lunch stop in Lafayette. Arrive in time to roll at 10am. Rain cancels.

I won't be doing this ride as I made an emergency appointment with a customer who is having a problem with his bike. I'm still planning on doing the Iron Horse Trail ride tomorrow.

We missed having you lead the pack up the climbs... well, unless you brought the trike in which case we missed out on one the few opportunities to drop you on a climb... >:-)

This sounds like a fun ride and normally it is my training route from my home in El Cerrito but I am tied up for a few weeks. Please keep these Invites send to me. Have a nice 3 Bears ride and Happy Thanksgiving to all.

To find the exact spot where we'll meet in the parking lot, go to Google Maps and copy these coordinates in the search:
    [masked],[masked]

You can then right-click on the green arrow that shows on the map and select "Directions to here"

My "bent legs" aren't nearly ready for this. It'll be a good workout. Here's a route I found on ride with GPS for those who may be curious:
