Please indcate whether you are already an LF photographer or would like to get started in LF photography in near future. (If you have no intention of doing LF photography, you may be better served by joining other photography groups.)

Help for a LF novice to get going w/o stumbling so much. General tips and tricks that I can learn and file away until I need to use it. How to pack and carry the LF gear. I'm having trouble packing for an outing.

What are your photography subject areas (e.g. landscape, portrait, etc.)?

Landscape to start off with, then I will see what else I want to shoot.

Do you do B&W or color or both types of photography? What film do you use? If you use traditional darkroom, what developers do you use?

Starting off w B&W; Ilford FP4 and Delta 100, will develop in HC-110 or Ilford in a Unidrum or Nikor 4x5 tank. Color film is TBD. Prob Velvia 50 for landscape but open to discussion.

Do you use digital techniques (scanning, Photoshop, digial printing, etc.) for producing the prints or you use traditional darkroom or both? What digital printers and papers do you use? What traditional darkroom chemisty and papers do you use?

Have not figured out what to do with the 4x5 negatives. My darkroom is just starting construction. 35mm and MF I can print in a makeshift bathroom darkroom only because the enlarger is small enough to assemble/disassemble/store. Once the darkroom is built I can set up the 4x5 enlarger. Scanning and digital printing is an option.

What type of LF camera(s) do you use (e.g. 4x5" Arca Swiss)? It's perfectly okay to join this group even if you don't have an LF camera yet.

4x5 Toyo monorail with 90 and 150mm lens.
