Please indcate whether you are already an LF photographer or would like to get started in LF photography in near future. (If you have no intention of doing LF photography, you may be better served by joining other photography groups.)

Most anything, happened upon this group after doing a google search on view camera photography. Would like to share my experience and knowledge about photography with others.

What are your photography subject areas (e.g. landscape, portrait, etc.)?

Numerous, from microscope images to people to landscapes. Any noun with form, shadow and light that stirs curiosity and something to say to humanity.

Do you do B&W or color or both types of photography? What film do you use? If you use traditional darkroom, what developers do you use?

Mostly B&W, some color. For B&W after experimenting with most films and developers, I'm pretty settled on FP-4 & HP-5 developed with developing formulas mixed from powered chemistry. Pyro developers are another tool if the situation requires it. Color snaps are usually done in digital. But gosh, I really miss the days of great 5x7 color transparency films.

Do you use digital techniques (scanning, Photoshop, digial printing, etc.) for producing the prints or you use traditional darkroom or both? What digital printers and papers do you use? What traditional darkroom chemisty and papers do you use?

Digital is used for causal and traveling trip images. My photoshop skills are very limited. No digital printing. My 5x7 darkroom is currently in storage :(

What type of LF camera(s) do you use (e.g. 4x5" Arca Swiss)? It's perfectly okay to join this group even if you don't have an LF camera yet.

6x9 Arca Swiss, 4x5 Horseman LX, 5x7 Sinar, 5x7 Wisner. optics are a mix of Kodak Ektar, Goertz, Rodenstock for normal to longer focal lengths to Schneider Super Angulon to HMXL for wide angles.

Began using a view camera since the mid-1980's. Stopped most all photography for about a decade, now the passion is back.
