Please indicate whether you are already an LF photographer or would like to get started in LF photography in near future. You don't need to own LF camera gear to join this group.

I want to learn more about the subject with the eventual goal of working with an 8x10 LF camera. I am interested in using impossible project 8x10 polaroid material and creating transfers. I have never used a LF view camera.

What are your photography subject areas (e.g. landscape, portrait, etc.)?

Portrait.

Do you do B&W or color or both types of photography? What film do you use? If you use traditional darkroom, what developers do you use?

I started photography in the film days, still use film B&W and color as well as digital. Digital printing entirely now - left my darkroom when I left the UK

Do you use digital techniques (scanning, Photoshop, digial printing, etc.) for producing the prints or you use traditional darkroom or both? What digital printers and papers do you use? What traditional darkroom chemisty and papers do you use?

Scan on an imacon and print on a Canon inkjet.

What type of LF camera(s) do you use (e.g. 4x5" Arca Swiss)? It's perfectly okay to join this group even if you don't have an LF camera yet.

I don't own one yet - just looking for the right buy on ebay.

Introduction

I am a professional portrait photographer based in San Jose. While my professional practice is entirely digital I do still shoot film for personal work.

What simon b. is saying about this Meetup Group

Wonderful - It was great to meet you all and I look forward to more meet ups and learning more about LF.
