Ohh its nice gonna be a great summer -

We have a NEW Location for SFDUG - please note it down - its 160 Folsom Street San Francisco CA 94105

- and we have GREAT content for the July Meetup.

This month for our case study we have -

Top Notch Themes showing off their new site which was built in the new Fusion theme.

We saw a preview of fusions power last year. Here is what Stephanie says about this session:

When we (TopNotchThemes) launched our site for the new Fusion theming system, we wanted to not only give it an awesome new look and feel, but dramatically upgrade the experience for both our customers and our own staff. The resulting site pulls together Ubercart, Organic Groups, and Project module in order to create project releases from SVN and allow customers to purchase access to these, presenting them on a unified user dashboard. Stephanie from TopNotchThemes will present a case study on how the site was themed (hint: Fusion!) and built (hint: lots of Views and Panels, and the wizardry of Project module's own Derek Wright).

The tech session is gonna be great this month!

John Faber from Commerce Guys will discuss EC2 hosting and how to deploy your Drupal Site using it.

Have you wanted to set your site up on the Amazon EC2 Cloud and run your Drupal site on it. Have you wondered about what the language you hear, Elastic IP, EBS Volumes, Snapshots, Instances? Been confused about what it costs to run your web sites on EC2?

This will clear the fog up for you so you can start to use EC2 as your host.

We will go over the language of Amazon cloud hosting.
Setting up and instance and attaching an EBS volume
Looking at scripts to automate the restore and setup of an EBS disk.
Adding an Elastic IP addressTaking snap Shots of your EBS and why thats awesome!

At the end we will look at our instance and run some stress tests on it so we can take a look at its performance. We wil look at ab bench mark testing and Jmeter testing.

At end of this session you will be able to understand EC2 hosting and why its so cool.

Hope to see you down at the meetup!

If you know anyone who may be interested in learning about Drupal please do forward this meetup info to them.
