August Already?? Man this summer is flying by - each month we have great sessions on Drupal, they just keep coming.
I moved the time up to 6:30 to give everyone a bit more time to get to the event.
This month we have the case study on the Drupal.org redesign. Neil Drumm the Drupal.org Redesign Architect, will come by to talk about the progress which has been made on the Drupal.org main site redesign.
Redeploying and redesigning a site as vast as drupal.org is a huge project, this will be a nice look into what goes into making something like this happen.
The tech Session will also focus on a topic dear to drupal which is the GIT version control system and how to use it.
David Luhman from 3PAR presented this at DrupalCamp Colorado and has agreed to come to SFDUG to present to us.
If you are a developer working with Drupal or would like to start to contribute back to drupal.org you really need to learn how GIT works.
Drupal.org is moving from cvs based version control to git so this the time is right to get down to SFDUG and learn some GIT.
We are starting a Job Board - so if you are looking for a job, or are hiring please come prepared to post something.
We will have cold beer - bring some drinks if you do not want beer. If your company would like to sponsor drinks let me know.
This will be at the commerce guys office at 160 Folsom Street Suite 200 so come on down.
If you know any one who is interested in Drupal please do let them know about this meetup.
This Meetup repeats on the 2nd Monday of every month.
If the changes affect your plans to attend, please take a moment to update your RSVP. (You can RSVP "No" or "Maybe" as well as "Yes".)
You can always get in touch with me through the "Contact Organizer" link on Meetup: http://www.meetup.com/SFDUG-San-Francisco-Drupal-Users-group/suggestion/
