How to Train Your Dragon 2 (Movie meetup - no reading required!)

Please join us as we watch HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2 (view the trailer), the highly anticipated sequel to 2010's smash animated hit based loosely on the children's books by Cressida Cowell. The film is written and directed by Dean DeBlois (LILO & STITCH, HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON) and stars Jay Baruchel (HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON, THE SORCERER'S APPRENTICE), Gerard Butler (300, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA), Craig Ferguson ("The Late Late Show"), America Ferrera ("Ugly Betty"), Jonah Hill (THE WOLF OF WALL STREET, MONEYBALL), Christopher Mintz-Plasse (KICK-ASS, ROLE MODELS), T.J. Miller (CLOVERFIELD), Kristen Wiig (BRIDESMAIDS), Cate Blanchett (LOTR: THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING), Djimon Hounsou (PUSH, CONSTANTINE, AMISTAD), and Kit Harrington ("Game of Thrones").

From ComingSoon:

The thrilling second chapter of the epic "How to Train Your Dragon" trilogy returns to the fantastical world of the heroic Hiccup and his faithful dragon Toothless. The inseparable duo must protect the peace – and save the future of men and dragons from the power-hungry Drago.

Although we don't ordinarily choose to see movies in 3D, the first movie in this franchise was one of the few good examples of 3D being integrated into a film in a worthwhile and exciting way.

UPDATE (PLEASE READ!):

We'll be attending the 1:00 PM 3D showtime. If you'd like to save time and ensure your ticket, you can buy your tickets online here (in case the link says the showtime is no longer available, just select "Sunday, Jun. 15, 2014" and the 1:00 3D showtime and it should work). Fandango does charge a convenience fee, and I don't think Regal waives it if you're a rewards member, but just in case, you can use Regal Crown Club #: [masked] (5 leading 0s). Please note that this meetup is being held on Father's Day, in case that changes your availability. You are, of course, welcome to bring your fathers or your children. We'll be going to Aditi Indian Dining (walking distance) for dinner following the movie. If you plan to attend, you must RSVP separately for June's Post-Movie Dinner (no reading required!).

We ask that you please meet up with the group before the movie so we can accurately take attendance. If you arrive before the meetup starts, we'll be standing near the arcade past the ticket checker. After that prior to the showtime, we'll start saving seats (to the extent we can for a group this big) and you can meet us right outside the entrance to our theatre room. If you arrive late, we'll re-congregate after the movie immediately outside our theatre room.

Lastly, we do ask that if you attend a movie screening with us, that you please refrain from talking during the movie or disrupting the experience for other guests. We want everyone in the group to be able to hear and enjoy their movie experience, and we also would like to maintain a positive relationship with the theatre, so your cooperation is appreciated. There will be plenty of opportunity to discuss the movie during dinner.

Please update your RSVP and guestcount if you will not be attending!

Excellent movie!! It was great to see everyone again. Sorry I couldn't make the diner afterwards.

Hi everyone, I've moved the start time up to 12:30 to give us some time to congregate and save seats before the movie starts. Please do you best to arrive by then. See you tomorrow!
