Lots of you have said you know the basics of salsa but that you really want to focus on leading or following and/or you want to improve your timing, rhythm, and musicality. Sooo....
In this 4 week series, we will be focusing on Leading, Following, and Musicality!
If you know the basic steps already as a lead or a follow, this is the perfect chance to get started learning the other half. We will deepen your understanding of how non-verbal communication happens between dance partners. We'll focus on hand, arm, and upper body signals. We'll also focus on the music because that is so key to successful leading and following.
We'll cover how to tell if a song is a salsa song, and how to find the dance beat inside that crazy Latin rhythm section! We'll cover what to do when you loose the beat and what to do when you think your partner is off beat! And SO much more you guys!!!
This is going to be a really great class! You do need to be comfortable with the very basic salsa steps (left right left, right left right) but if that's all you know, then you're ready!
This is ALSO a great class for anyone who is a proficient dancer in another style like swing or jazz to come get immersed in Latin rhythm and lead/follow.
I can't wait to see you all there!!! If you have questions about class please write them below in the comments - someone else might have that question too - or private message me if you prefer privacy.
