Gaza 5K solidarity walk/run.

On October 5th American Friends of UNRWA and the Ramallah Club of San Francisco are hosting the first ever Gaza Solidarity 5K walk/run in San Francisco! Proceeds benefit UNRWA’s psycho-social support program for children in Gaza suffering from psychological trauma and PTSD due to the devastating November 2012 violence and the prolonged blockade. Since November, reported cases of PTSD have risen by more than 100%. 42% of those cases are children under the age of 9.

Edit (9/17/13): Hi everyone - For those attending, please check out the link above. Just a heads up, there is a registration fee for runners.

I can't attend this event, so hopefully someone can take the lead to designate a meeting place and time in case you guys wanted to start the 5k together. Have fun!

Hi everyone, I went on a run last night, and completely sprained my left ankle! I was hoping the swelling would have gone down this morning, but it looks worse. It looks like I may not be able to run on Saturday :-( I am so dissappointed.

Sounds good. Let's do it this Monday 9/23. Meet in front of the Ferry Building under the clock tower facing the street. I'll be there at 6:15pm.

I'll go for a run today as I already have the gear. And usually I don't run back to back so Tuesday doesn't work. However, I encourage everyone to do it whenever they can coz scheduling with others is not easy. See you guys later.
