Hello everyone! So we took a vote and it looks like the majority favor Saturday, 10/26 for our rafting trip. Here are the details:
Location: South Fork American, Lower Gorge
Time: We need to be at the location by 10:45am. According to the itinerary, we should be done around 5pm. This does not account for travel time to and from the river, so we need to plan accordingly once we get closer to 10/26
Here is the link to the itinerary: http://www.aorafting.com/river/south-fork-american/one-day-trips.htm
Cost: After taxes and fees, the total per person cost is $128.50. Depending on the weather, there may be a requirement to wear a wet suit which would cost an additional $15, but we won’t know this until we get closer to 10/26.
How to pay: There is a reservation under my name, Harris Moten with the All-Outdoors Rafting Company. All you have to do is call them at[masked] and let them know you are paying for your spot under the reservation in my name. You can pay with Visa, MC or Amex.
Cancellations *THIS IS IMPORTANT*: Cancellation Policy and option to purchase Trip Protection. Attached is a summary of the AO Cancellation Policy and information regarding our Trip Protection Plan which reimburses your trip money under medical and death circumstances. This plan is available up to the 8th day prior to the trip's departure. You can also find our policy online:
Basically, what they are saying is that you do not get your money back if you cancel, but you can try to find a substitute for your spot if you already paid and need to cancel. If you do end up cancelling and cannot find a substitute, you will receive a 25% credit to use with All-Outdoors Rafting at a future date. Additionally, for about $8, you can purchase insurance, which is where you receive your money back if you have a legitimate excuse, such as illness or family matters.
I only received about 10 responses when I opened up voting for which weekend people prefer. Therefore, if you pay for your spot on the reservation, keep in mind there may be a group of 20 people going or a group of 1 person (me) haha. Wait, that sad.
Please send me a message or post a comment when you have paid for your spot. Thanks!

We strongly suggest that you follow our directions over any found online and not rely strictly on GPS in the outlying areas.
Laced-on athletic type shoes or neoprene booties offer foot protection and support. "Teva type" sandals or "aqua-sock" type footwear is not appropriate for rafting. Open-toed shoes do not provide enough protection for your feet while in the raft or during a swim.
We suggest eating breakfast the day of your trip.
