Pre-PuppetConf Meetup

  • September 26, 2012 · 7:00 PM

In case you haven't heard PuppetConf is in SF this year (http://puppetconf.com). Have you registered? If not use the discount code: CONF150 and register before joining us the night before for pizza, beer and socializing.

As usual, we will use the discussion-based "unconference" format. At the beginning of the meetup we will collaboratively construct an agenda consisting of several discussion breakout groups. All participants may propose a topic and volunteer to facilitate a discussion. All Puppet-related topics are encouraged, and all members of the Puppet community are welcome.

Event schedule:

  • 6:00pm - Doors open.
  • 7:00pm - Introductions; start creating agenda
  • Breakout sessions begin as soon as we're ready
  • 8:30pm - Sessions end. Socializing and more beer.

Food and refreshments will be provided courtesy of WibiData and PuppetLabs.

For those of you who haven't been to the Wibi offices this map might be helpful.

I can understand that people would be bored about conference(since they'll listen to them during 2 days) and so that we did not actually do the unconference, but it would have been nice to mention it before. Plus most of the people were all sitting and standing at a big table making interaction with other people impossible.

Public transport are not very nice there and it was, at least for me, a pain to come and leave for almost no networking, sorry but I was not happy.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
