The San Francisco SPCA has been saving the lives of cats and dogs in San Francisco for 143 years. As the leader in the no-kill shelter movement, the SF SPCA finds new homes for over 4,000 animals a year and treats thousands more through community outreach programs. The SF SPCA mission is to end animal abandonment by reducing the population through aggressive spay/neuter campaigns, by providing resources and information to people to keep animals in the home, and by strengthening the human-animal bond. To that end, the SF SPCA offers programs throughout the year such as Humane Education camps and youth programs, Animal Assisted Therapy, behavior and training for cats and dogs, and a full service veterinary hospital which is the 2nd largest animal care facility in North America. The SF SPCA is funded entirely by private donations and receives no government funding. Visit us online at sfspca.org, like us facebook and follow us on twitter @sfspca.
