Yes. Martin is a good bluegrass guitar.

Martins are seen the most in Bluegrass bands. I have a DXK2 with great volume and tone!

You know, Phil, I keep telling people I haven't played guitar much since I got into a bluegrass band, and started on mando because my old Gibson (some Jazz style) couldn't be heard in jams an could use a fret job.

I don't know enough about the difference in details but a martin might be right for Bluegrass?

Hey gang.  Just saw this ad on Craigslist.  I've not played this particular guitar, but I've played several DM models.  They're really nice guitars.
They're asking $650 for this one, used.  The DM is solid spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, solid wood neck with (I think) rosewood fingerboard and bridge.  It's got a mortise/tenon neck joint.  It's really, basically, a D-18 with the mortise/tenon.
If you're not playing a Martin, this is worth look....if you are, it might be a decent beater guitar to have for gigs in the rain or very hot weather.

I don't know who's selling this, I get nothing from the sale.

Just so you know.
