SF charades for Xmas -- we attempted and solved: 9 billion names of god; ubik; altered carbon; and others too numerous to remember. Where is that piece of paper we wrote them on?

Also: Forbidden Planet, The Invisible Man and The Word for World is Forest.
More charades last night (30th): people guessed Blows Against the Empire and Starship Troopers, but were flummoxed by Repent Harlequin, said the Tick-Tock Man.

It would be really nice if a mob of you turned up two days before Xmas. The past two weeks have seen a distinct lack of regular faces and if you don't come tomorrow you might not get your Xmas card -- and a brazier/eyeions christmas story card is not an event to be missed lightly. See you all tomorrow.Paul

We love science fiction and want to talk about it.
We read and discuss one book a month -- but discussion ranges over the whole gamut of media and related genres and there will be forays into other such areas according to demand.
It is to be hoped this group will attract not only fanatics but people new to the genre and, perhaps, some who had forgotten just how much they love it.
Please nominate any books you regard as science fiction in the discussion forum here:

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
