Lovely relaxed evening. Astonishing coincidence department: Anne has had the same illness I have just been diagnosed with, Janet's surname is a probable Welsh precursor of my wife's maiden name and Rodger likes the Brighton Early Music Festival, something both my wife and I enjoy immensely. There was only one real ale, Coconut Porter, which went down extremely easily.
I am concerned that no new members have showed up. We have a nice big sign on the table and the barman knows where we are. If anyone has any difficulty getting there I'm happy to pick them up or drop them home as long as they're not too far from Fiveways. Just email me and we can discuss it.
Did we talk about science fiction? There was discussion of movies I've never seen and Anne and Rodger are enjoying The Devil's Apprentice, next month's book.
Next week Rodger has a function in London so won't be there. So come on you lot, don't leave me sitting in the pub on my own. Let's have a record turnout next Monday.

I'm still in the Smoke but hoping to drop by this evening. If I do get there, I have a spare copy of Ubik in case anyone would like to borrow it.
