Two New Sizzle Reels and Special Guests at Film and Business Networking Event Nov 18 – 6:30-9 p.m. We just got two new short sizzle reels besides our special guests, Robert Bowden, showing “I Just Wanna Ball,” a documentary about four young women who seek a higher learning and success in basketball, and Ian Carruthers showing “Loaded Paradise,” a short film about forgiveness with whiskey and a loaded gun. The new sizzle reels are for “The Battle Against Internet Piracy,” which features interviews with victims of internet piracy, lawyers, and others dealing with the issue and for “The Suicide Party,” about a man losing all who resorts to desperate measures and will be filmed in three versions, one with a director and two lead actors with over 30 feature films between them. If you have already RSVPed on one of our Meetup Groups but haven’t yet gotten your ticket, tickets are $10 in advance; $15 at the door, space available, since tickets are limited to 50 attendees due to space in the screening room, and we now have about 30 attending, including attendees and presenters, with about 20 tickets still available. Plus those on the advance ticket list will get a raffle ticket for over $50 in prizes, including tickets to our next events. The Networking event will be at the SF School of Digital Filmmaking, 925 Mission, San Francisco (near 5th Street). Tickets are at https://shortfilmsandbusinessnetworkingparty.eventbrite.com. Snacks and beverages from 6:30-7 before the program and more networking from 8:30-9:00 p.m.
Next Networking Event and an Invitation to Submit Films. Our next event will be the second or third week in January, because of the holidays in December. We plan to continue to make this a showcase for short films with networking before and after the event for the film and business communities. If you have a short film of up to about 10 minutes, we are looking for 3-4 filmmakers to present films. Please send me an email at [address removed] if interested.
Hope to see you on the 18th.
