1-2 More Volunteers Needed to Help at the Door. Volunteering is a great way to meet people at the door in the film and business communities. Plan to come at 6 p.m. to help with set up for refreshments and then at either of two shifts from 6:45-7:15 or 7:15-7:45 p.m. Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (415) 571-8282 if interested.
Update on Tickets for Film and Business Networking Event on 10/9. 19 tickets are now left for the event, with 31 attendees. TICKETS ARE AT EVENTBRITE IF YOU HAVEN’T ALREADY GOTTEN ONE. https://shortfilmsand..., RSVPs only don’t count as tickets, so if you only RSVPed, get your ticket. We will have a list of attendees at the door. Meetup RSVPs only give you a priority for a ticket at the door if available. But we are limited to 50 attendees in the screening room and reception area. Come for networking with snacks and beverages from 6:30-7 before the program and stay afterwards for more networking from about 8:30-9:00 p.m and a business card raffle for prizes. Tickets through Eventbrite are $10; $15 at the door if available.
Next Film Exchange. A chance to share what you are working on and get feedback. It probably will be on Monday the 21st or 28th this month, due to other events going on this month. Details at www.meetup.com/bayareafilmandtvconnection
Indiegogo Campaign Update: New Videos, Photos, and Rewards. See the latest updates in the Update section of THE SUICIDE PARTY IndieGoGo campaign. The latest links are to a short interview about the film and new signups can be featured in our next press release to over 6000 media contacts. It’s as little as $5 or $10 to become a subscriber or fan, and fans get half-price tickets to one of our networking events and parties, including the October 9 event (there’s a half-price ticket or if you already have your ticket, we’ll reimburse you with $5 at the door). Plus you’ll get updates with advance notices of events and roles in the film. Details at www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-suicide-party.
Film Funding Book Out. If you’re looking for funds for your next film project, my new book: Finding Funds for Your Next Film or TV Project will help. It just was published by Hal Leonard and is available on Amazon at http://www.amazon.com/Finding-Funds-Your-Film-Project/dp/0879108789/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1381168435&sr=1-1&keywords=finding+funds+for+your+film. I’ll have a couple of copies at the October 9th event, too.
