Meetup about Joan Manuel Serrat

Hi Susan,

Even though I can´t speak the Catalan language, the catalan singer-songwriter Joan Manuel Serrathas been one of my favorites and I'm organizing a Meetup for the East Bay Spanish Language meetup group in an Oakland library on March 9 at 3 pm, where we'll read Serrat's lyrics/poetry mostly in Spanish but at least one lyric in Catalan. Then I'm thinking of projecting some YouTube videos of Serrat and maybe also some Karaoke videos of him, if someone dares to sing, in Spanish or Catalan.

I was wondering if in the Trobades Catalanes group there are people interested in this meetup, in which case I'll be glad to extend an invitation to them.

I already have the Library meeting room confirmed for this meetup.
The place and date/time is:
Temescal Library/Oakland
Date: March 9, Time: 3:00 to 5:00 pm

If anybody from your group wants to attend, I need to have an approximate count to include them as guests of mine.

Would you please contact your members and let me know how many want to come? I can wait until Friday for your response.

As a reminder, I plan to select songs from Serrat, then have the lyrics available for people to read and YouTube videos of them to project on a screen. I'm not sure I'll have the equipment to do karaoke, but I may, but I can't promise that yet. I'll have most songs/lyrics in Spanish but also some in Catalan.

Adeu, fins aviat.
