Every Memorial Day, families and communities across the nation take time to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our nation. We will have a moment of silence before eating to honor those brave souls. If you have a photo of anyone you know who made the ultimate sacrifice, please bring it to display on our giant corkboard. You can take the photo home with you when you leave.
Come and join us to celebrate memorial day in family-friend style. We will bar-b-que lunch at about 1, and this is potluck, so please bring something to contribute. We aren't sure exactly what we will bar-b-que yet, we will let you know when it gets closer. Please note that Edelweiss Ranch is an alcohol-free zone. If you are off of work that day, please feel free to come out any time after 8 am. If you aren't off until later, please still feel free to join us. We may be able to offer space for setting up tents or trailers as well if you would like the day before. Weather-dependent, I can get out horses and maybe even quads and we can play, and I will be home all day. We plan to set up the bounce house for the kids as well.
Edelweiss Ranch is trying to work toward being more disposable-free. To help this cause, we are asking each guest to bring one plate, one set of flatware, one mug (which can be used for cold or hot drinks), and one bowl to the party. We will have rinse bins here to rinse your dishes before you take them home. It’s a good idea to label your dishes ahead of time, although we will have a roll of masking tape and some sharpies on hand. Please remember to bring dishes for your kiddoes as well. We will have some extras on hand, but I can’t promise a certain number so please do what you can to bring your own.
We will ask for a waiver to be signed for the quads, horses and the bounce house.
Guests and friends welcome, of course. You can invite them here. Please feel free to bring the entire family.
