Introduction

I've been hiking the front range of the San Gabriels for over three decades. I'm still finding new things!

What is it about hiking that you like?

Excercise, fresh air, and beautiful views

so to do 2.6 miles in 40 minutes you must travel a little over a quarter lap per minute. didn't you say you are at 44 minutes? that means you have to make up a quarter mile. doesn't sound like much but if you are already going as fast as you can even taking off a minute is HUGE!

I went light. packed my hiking poles, some water and the minimum inside a REI Flash 18 Pack. I tried to jog the whole way which I did. but I do sub 40s regularly using my poles hiking. my pr is 38:36. funny that I can hike faster than I can run! :)

Hey Mike. You should do the Beaudry Loop night hike -- wide trail, good climb, great views tonight!
