I'm a stay at home mom and part-time graphic designer.
I have a bright, still-breastfed, 22-month-old son, named Jason whose limited taste palate is hindering us from weaning.
at about 9 months, he began rejected every food, except for snacks, that we gave him.
After about a year and a half of battling over food, he's slowly accepted certain fruits into his diet. I posted a few posters of fruits and vegetables up on one of our walls, and I think because he recognizes some of those foods, he was willing to try them out.
Hi Justine! Brooke and I are so excited to join your playgroup - such a fantastic idea! Brooke is now 3, and has started preschool at the Child Educational Center in La Cañada. We will still be trying to make your meet ups, hopefully on Wednesday, October 2. Looking forward to getting to know all the moms and the little ones!
Awesome! :-) ...fyi, I made the carob chips, but then just used roasted pecans cause I ran out of time to sprout them. Also, I doubled the recipe and froze half the dough so I could make lots of cookies. Enjoy! Also, the pesto in that book is soooooo good!
It was nice to meet you too. The book I got the recipe from is called "Nourishing Traditions" and it has a lot of healthy cooking & baking ideas. If I get a chance I'll copy the recipe out for you. And no, no food blog yet. I actually started one and then stopped. I'll let you know if I change my mind again. I'm always looking for ideas too, so feel free to pass along any good recipes you find.
